With a nylon rod you have both a durable and a break-resistant product. This green rod is particularly different in, that there is oil added in the casting of the rod. This makes it particularly suited as cogs or other wearing parts in a construction where you would normally add oil several times along the way. Here the nylon rod will lubricate for you.
Nylon is made up of long threads that can melt from high heat and friction.
Nylon is slightly flexible and can endure thousands of repetitive pressures and bending.

It will absorb water and may break under freezing temperatures. Please have this in mind, especially if you plan on using nylon in cooler conditions.
